St. Augustine author wins Nautilus Book Award

St. Augustine author Caren Umbarger’s second novel, “The Passion of Marta,” has been selected as a 2017 Nautilus Silver Award Winner.

An international book award, Nautilus Book Awards are given to notable works in the genre of social and environmental justice. The organization’s mission is to honor books that support conscious living and green values, high-level wellness, positive social change and spiritual growth.

“Every author hopes to have their contribution recognized as significant,” Umbarger says. “This Nautilus award is a true confirmation that I need to keep writing.”

Past Nautilus-winning authors include Deepak Chopra, Barbara Kingsolver, Louise Erdrich, Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Andrew Weil, Judy Collins, Desmond Tutu, Charles — Prince of Wales.
